PREPARE YOUR CAR FOR WINTER

This year we are expecting a very cold winter. To make sure you don't get stuck in the snow check out our top tips:

Antifreeze

Antifreeze should be added to your radiator, stops the water that is in your radiator from freezing. The mixture should be 50/50. We can offer a radiator flush to flush out the old anti-freeze and contaminants including rust and scale deposit that may have build up in your cooling system.

Tyres

Check the tread depth. The National Highway Transportation Safety Board recommends a depth of least 2/32" of depth to be safe. The penny test is a reliable way to check.

Also check your tyre pressure. Your tyres lose little pressure when its cold, so will need pumping up.

Wipers

It takes wipers that are in top shape to effectively clear the rain, sleet and snow from your windshield to keep it clean and help you see.

Windshield Washer Fluid

Washer fluid is needed to make sure you can see where you are going because it won't freeze!
